League Bowling Highlights | Fun Bowl Fayette County

See the biggest league bowling scores from the first eight weeks at Fun Bowl Fayette County, including 300 games, 299s and some huge 750+ series.

Eight weeks into the fall league season, Fayette County bowlers are already putting up some impressive numbers.

League bowling has always been an important part of Fun Bowl Fayette County, and the first eight weeks of this season have given us plenty to talk about. From perfect games and near-perfect games to 750+ series, our bowlers have been keeping the scoring pace high.

Two Perfect Games Already

The first 300 of the season came from Alejandro Lawson in Week 2, when he put together a huge 793 series.

Then in Week 7, James Anderson added another perfect 300 game to the season highlights.

And there have been several close calls along the way. Alejandro Lawson rolled a 299 in Week 6, Marquez Hubbard followed with a 299 in Week 7, and Steve Offord shot 298 that same week.

That means through just eight weeks, Fayette County leagues have already produced:

2 perfect 300 games · 2 games of 299 · 1 game of 298

Big Series Across the House

Alejandro Lawson’s 793 remains the highest series through Week 8, but he certainly hasn’t been alone above the 750 mark.

Other standout series have included Maurice Robinson 775, Clay Jones 773, Alejandro Lawson 773, Jake Atkins 769, Brian Thompson 765, Lamar Watson 760, Steve Offord 757, Jake Atkins 754, Michael Johnson 753, Amy Jones 750, along with several more performances just below that mark.

One thing that stands out is how many different names have appeared among the weekly leaders. This hasn’t been one bowler dominating every week. The competition has been spread across our leagues, with bowlers continuing to push one another as the season progresses.

Week-by-Week Highlights

Week 1 opened with Clay Jones leading the way with a 254 game and 712 series.

Week 2 belonged to Alejandro Lawson, who fired the season’s first 300 game on his way to a 793 series. Clay Jones added a 279, Derrick Tumbling shot 277 with a 716 series, Zach Baer rolled 740, and Avery Hill finished with 719.

Week 3 saw Maurice Robinson take both top spots with a 279 game and 775 series. Sean McDaniel Sr. followed with 747.

Week 4 featured a 290 from Steve Offord, while Clay Jones led the series standings with 773 and Lamar Watson rolled 760.

Week 5 had three bowlers above 750: Brian Thompson at 765, Steve Offord at 757, and Jake Atkins at 754.

Week 6 brought another big night from Alejandro Lawson with a 299 game and 773 series.

Week 7 was loaded with high scores. James Anderson rolled a 300, Marquez Hubbard shot 299, Steve Offord had 298, and Jake Atkins led the weekly series with 769.

Week 8 continued the pace with Steve Offord leading the series at 757, followed closely by Amy Jones at 750, Anthony Morris at 749, and Khoun Kaphosy at 748. Amy Jones and Anthony Morris shared the week’s high game with 289.

And We’re Only Eight Weeks In

The best part is that there’s still plenty of bowling left.

Whether it’s chasing a first 700 series, another 300 game, a personal best, or simply spending a night each week bowling with friends, that’s what league bowling at Fun Bowl is about.

Congratulations to everyone who has made the weekly highlights so far, and to all of our Fayette County league bowlers for a great start to the season.

We’ll keep sharing the biggest scores as the season continues.
